Objectives
The project is aimed at creating a living space on the basis of the original building of the Rodes Hermanos factory. This industrial complex covering twelve thousand metres square in the heart of the city, recovers all its splendour thanks to a restoration which combines the industrial and Art-Nouveau essence of its origins with a totally contemporary architectural conception of open-plan and polyvalent spaces equipped with the latest technology.

Development of the project
The design, consolidation, restoration and revitalisation of the urban technology park to be located on the Rodes block is a major project that is moving inexorably towards the future.
2024
Reception of the works.

Approval of the project, call for tenders and start of the main works.
2020
Presentation of the winning project for the refurbishment of the Rodes Hermanos foundry.
2019
Alcoy and the Consell collaborate in the restoration of Rodes, which will house the CdTi.
2018

- The work at Rodes brings to light an arsenal of 83 bombs from the Civil War.
2017
Design of the rehabilitation project by Alcoy Town Council.
In the Rodes Urban Technology Park, 80% of the space will be used for economic promotion, and the remaining 20% for cultural purposes. We will dispose of 16,000 m² in the whole block to make this project a reality.
Besides, we have recovered an industrial space of more than 11,000 m² and transform it into a project for the development of our economy. This will allow us not only to attract technology-based companies, but also to create synergies for the digital transformation of our economic fabric.
Rodes will also be open to citizens to meet their social and cultural needs. Therefore, it will have public gardens, an auditorium, library, concert hall, reading room or a social centre.
To make this project possible, we will count on the will and commitment of different agents to contribute to the creation of this space for occupation, wealth and improvement of our territory in important sectors such as industry, technology or tourism.
